We all have a deep longing to be loved and feel it. We engage in endless activities pursuing love. Many at times, we may find ourselves in a position where we feel unloved and rejected.However, that's not always the truth; this is often mostly a result of miscommunication and misunderstanding of each other love's expressions.That is where we miss the mark. Feeling loved starts from within. 

Our inner self is reflected on how we relate with others. You'll not give that which you do not have.In my opinion, the notion of finding a partner to complete you is so wrong. You simply need someone who compliments you.You can love and provide your all to someone but still feel empty, unloved and unappreciated. The same way, once you depend on somebody else's love,it causes you to feel frustrated.If you are feeling desperate for another's person love, it's a symbol that you simply are seeking for love desperately. Even if you find someone who truly loves you, you'll still feel unfulfilled and inadequate.You will doubt the genuineness of the love being offered to you because you do not believe someone can love you that much.That is why it's crucial for everybody to develop self-love.


With that in mind, how do you make yourself ready to feel love? Here are  a few tips to assist you start your self love journey.


Self-Awareness

Knowing who you're, what your principles and values are, makes it easy for you to become conscious of yourself hence develop love for yourself. Taking time to be with yourself, connect with your inner being causes you to know your strength and weaknesses.You are able to internalize and evaluate yourself. You can manage your emotions and understand  why you chase love and the way to avoid doing that.


Have a High Self-Esteem.

How you see your self has a  huge impact on how you're keen on yourself. Try seeing yourself as the most vital, wonderful and unique being on Earth. This way,you become more confident in what you are doing or say This helps to build up your self-image boosting your esteem. With a high self-esteem, you're ready to engage yourself In healthy relationships. You will not Lower your standards nor accept the bare minimum during a relationship. This is  because you respect and value yourself.


Build Your Self-Confidence.

Having Confidence in yourself means having trust in yourself. Besides this, it means you're comfortable and at peace  with who you're.When you wear your confidence on, you attract people to you. People begin to believe and trust you; love paves its way in automatically. This is often because human beings are naturally  drawn to happy and assured people. You can build your self-confidence through speaking positively to yourself, become a professional at what you do best, have standards, values and principles which you do not compromise. Speak up for yourself.

Practice self-Care

Taking care of how our mental, physical and spiritual life is vital while in the process of loving yourself. When your body is in a perfect condition, you'll cherish yourself. There are varieties of activities  that can make you to love yourself.If you would like to change your body weight: eat healthy and exercise.Have enough sleep rest.Everyday dress up in your best clothes albeit you're not going anywhere.Have a conversation with yourself on the mirror. Meet with your family and friends and have fun.


Volunteer

As the saying goes, if you do not know who you're then loose yourself in service of others. Volunteering may be a good way for you to develop self-love. Showing kindness, empathy and compassion to others boost how you are feeling about yourself. It is often doing the simple little things like cleaning your church or visiting the elderly. Besides this, practicing gratitude may be a great way to understand your self more and be appreciative. Life's challenges blind us to not see how blessed we are. Finding something to be grateful for is fulfilling. It causes you to be  happy and thankful of who you're. Consider having a journal where you write a minimum of 10 things you are grateful for in life daily. 

After knowing who you're and developing love for yourself. You should be more open about your feelings Give yourself an opportunity to experience true and unconditional love. Do not be too hard on yourself. Believe and acknowledge what you are feeling. While it is vital to protect yourself from people that want to use you, try opening yourself to receive and give love. Being in love means accepting vulnerability. Comfortably showing who you're to your partner without being judged. Being silent of how you are feeling will only hurt you. It is time for you to stop doubting and pushing away those that profess their love towards you.

Fact is, you cannot change or control how people feel about you. So once you spend  time depending on others for love. You'll most of the time find yourself disappointed, dissatisfied and angry with yourself. What you ought to do is be your own source of affection. Be contented with who you're, embrace your flaws and stop stressing on things out of your control.You need to start treating your self the way you treat others. Be your favorite fan and always put yourself first. This is often not selfishness, rather a gesture of self affection. You cannot pour from an empty cup. Loving yourself is a process that needs commitment, consistency, hardworking and patience. You should practice daily on the way to love yourself. Do the mundane things that you simply often assume.It has profound impact on the end of the day.Create a habit, stick with it until it is your lifestyle.

Having an attitude of gratitude makes you live life happily, contented and succeed in all your endeavors. You won't be in on things you can't control. You will begin to see life with another perspective. Appreciate the little things in life. It makes an impact to your general whole being. Make a habit of writing daily what you are grateful for in life. You will begin to look life with a glass half full. Furthermoreyou will soon realize how lucky you are!



2. Have a good night sleep



Well, I don't mean for you to sleep like you won't ever sleep again. The recommended amount of sleep is 6 - 8 hours. When you are well restedyou are more happy, motivated to face the day ahead and less likely to be stressed. I understand it can be a challenge sleeping for these hours because we always have something left to finish which makes us get inadequate rest. With this hacks you will be able to get the much needed rest

3.Drink more water.

In this current age, smoking, drinking alcohol has been normalized such that if you don't, you seem outdated. When you drink or smoke you are actually reducing your life span with 10 years.We also eat unhealthy foods and snacks which have chemicals that is detrimental to our health. The key to eating healthy is not through fasting or skipping meals rather it's about how much calories you take in. There should be a balance in your diet. This helps your body to get the required nutrients needed for your growth. Men should take 2500 calories each day while women need to have 2000 calories. Reduce the amount of sugar and salt intake. You can substitute your favorite drinks and snacks with fruits and natural juices.



5. Spend time with friends and family



While It's crucial to spend time with your self, it boosts your creativity and you are more aware of yourself, spending time with your Loved ones makes a huge difference in your life. It reduces stress and you are happier. Your sense to belong is met when you spend quality time with your friends and family. It doesn't matter even if you are an introvert, make an effort to be with your friends. When you have supportive friends and family, your mental status will be okay. You are aware that you can turn to them for help when you are faced with challenges. Be wary of frienemies. They will only drain youchoose friends who you share the same goals and purpose in life. Some activities that can make it fun spending time with family and friends include
